Cheap, Dive Motel -Make This A Last Choice - 2 Miles to Asbury
The Crystal Inn Motel used to be a Howard Johnson’s but those days are over. It is very centrally located at the intersection of Route 66 and Route 35, it’s close to Asbury Park, with easy taxi access to the beach and it is probably the cheapest place you’ll find to stay, but don’t expect anything other than a low-level motel here. Kind of smelly, needs paint, the mattresses look lumpy. They are “renovating” the bathrooms in granite to try to improve their status. Read YELP or TRIP ADVISOR on this motel to make sure you are okay with this.
All rooms have cable TV including HBO. The rooms, accessed from central hallways through two outside security doors, have individual balconies. All rooms are fully and individually air-conditioned/ heated and have refrigerators and microwave ovens. They also provide complimentary wireless internet
